After visiting the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, our family continued exploring Paris and spent time in the Bois de Boulogne, one of the city’s largest and most beautiful green spaces.
The Bois de Boulogne, located on the western edge of Paris, is known as the “lungs of the city.” With its lakes, gardens, playgrounds, and walking paths, it’s the perfect place to relax after sightseeing. Even in November, when the air is crisp and the trees turn golden, the park feels peaceful and welcoming.
For us, this was a quieter moment of our trip — a chance to walk together, enjoy nature, and let the children run and play. Surrounded by autumn colors, we took time to slow down, breathe, and simply be together as a family.
Travel Tips for Visiting Bois de Boulogne in November
- Autumn beauty – The leaves are colorful and the park feels calm, perfect for photos.
- Dress warmly – The air can be chilly, especially near the lakes.
- Family-friendly – There are playgrounds, paths for walking, and lots of open space.
- Boating closed in winter – Keep in mind that lake boat rentals stop after summer.
The Bois de Boulogne is more than just a park — it’s a retreat inside the city, where families can recharge and enjoy Paris in a slower rhythm.
