One of our favorite walks in Paris always seems to end with books. On 5 June 2025, we stopped at Boulinier, the famous second-hand bookshop on Boulevard Saint-Michel.
The red awnings, the tables overflowing with novels, comics, and DVDs, and the handwritten signs announcing “Romans jeunesse – 0,50 € (3 = 1 €)” instantly reminded us why we love this place. There’s something magical about browsing through stacks of used books — you never know what treasure you’ll find.
Inside, we wandered through shelves of manga, literature, and history books. It felt like being inside a labyrinth of stories waiting to be rediscovered. Between taking photos, laughing together, and digging through bargain boxes, we left with more books than we had planned (as always).
What makes Boulinier special isn’t just the low prices — it’s the atmosphere. Students, collectors, curious readers, all gathered in the same space, united by a love of books. For us, it was also a small reminder: in the middle of a busy life, you can still take time to enjoy simple joys, like hunting for a book that costs less than a coffee.
